Meet the Team

Disability Vehicle Installation / Service Centre Sydney

Paul Crake

Paul Crake

Total Ability owner Paul Crake resumed driving in 2008 after a spinal cord injury in 2006 during a professional cycling race.

He founded Total Ability in 2011 with the aim of getting other people with disability driving again to help them regain their independence, and he understands the importance of minimising the obstacles for people who need to drive from wheelchair.

Paul has invested in bringing the best driving controls to Australia, and also installing them into a fleet of high level assessment vans so that the widest possible range of people can learn to drive. Paul’s focus continues to be putting you at the centre of every business decision he makes.

Michelina Pelosi

Michelina Pelosi

Following a car accident in 1989, Michelina Pelosi has, among other roles, contributed to road safety programs, volunteered on Boards and delivered Disability Awareness training to help break down barriers for people with disability.

Michelina has driven with a range of driving controls over the years (push-pull, radial, trigger and now Satellite accelerators) enabling her to share good insights and lived experience with you.

At Total Ability, Michelina has been instrumental in the research and development of the Complete Guide to Driving with Disability and NDIS Guide to Vehicle Modifications for the best approach to get driving with disability, everything from get assessed to passing your test to funding equipment.

Frankie Britt

Frankie Britt

Frankie supports and trains our network of Driver Trained Occupational Therapists (DTOTs) about hand control and vehicle access equipment.

Frankie organises and hosts Drive Days with our Specialist Driving Instructors to provide a hands-on feel of driving with hand controls for potential clients and DTOTs.

With her in-depth technical product knowledge, Frankie ensures the DTOTs are fully informed when making equipment recommendations for you, which in turn, means you can be confident that you will be using the most suitable range of products tailored precisely to your needs.
